Rooted in the belief that art and design should be made for and by everyone, I strive to create pieces that are accessible to the everyday viewer about issues that are important to me and my communities.
Since receiving a B.A. in music history, cello performance and French from St. Olaf College in 2011, I have continued to develop a variety of visual and performance art practices including graphic design, pottery, drawing, painting, collage, photography, film, sewing, drag, and song writing.
Life as a queer, nonbinary, multidisciplinary artist eventually led me from my home state of Minnesota to the Bay Area in 2017, and I’ve had the joy of living and creating in Oakland since then. I have had the honor to work with various arts and cultural institutions including Southern Exposure, Berkeley Art Center, the California Association of Museums, NIAD Art Center, and UNA Productions
My visual work blurs the lines between fine art, craft, and design. Bold colors, text, geometric shapes, and mixed patterns to merge my queer, femme, DIY and childlike aesthetics. Play informs everything that I do, and I believe that helps bring my creations to life.
